“I’m feeling a little under dressed,” Eric Hutchinson said as he took the stage at Macy’s Glamorama in Minneapolis tonight to sing his hits “Ok, It’s Alright with Me” and “Rock & Roll.” “I should have worn heels.” The poor guy is way too normal to be mistaken for a musician. Before the show, he went to the gym and found himself working out in a room surrounded by male models. “It was a little intimidating. But I couldn’t stop staring,” he told me. I know he wanted to be staring at some of the female models after the show, but he was kind enough to pose with me. “I was trying to meet a few backstage, but no numbers yet,” he said, optimistically. “We’ve got four shows together.” Glamorama travels to Chicago next week and then to Los Angeles and San Francisco in September. Eric’s hoping maybe by show two or three, Macy’s will offer to dress him. That offer might have come sooner, if he hadn’t done such a decent job of dressing himself in Ben Sherman. The guy is more than alright.
