Stacey Finnegan is going offline to clear out excess inventory from her new online retail venture, Zinqstyle.com. She’s opened a temporary designer outlet in the old Shorty’s Loft space near Trader Joe’s in St. Louis Park. Get 60 to 80 percent off brands like Hale Bob, Rock and Republic Eva Franco and Fidelity Denim. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Saturday; Noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. The outlet will be open through Sept. 11. 4590 Excelsior Blvd., St. Louis Park

Designer deals can come from the unlikeliest of places: like Fargo, N.D. Their prized shop MODE is opening its second outlet on Main Street in Maple Grove on Oct. 14. The store sells brand new designer overstock at 50 percent off - think premium denim, luxury handbags and trendy casual apparel for women as well as men, children and some maternity. I spoke to the enthusiastic owner and it sounds like she's prepared to open with a bang. Watch for grand opening details on AliShops.com.

If you're shopping for that perfect, glitzy holiday party dress, hightail it over to T.J. Maxx at Knollwood Center in St. Louis Park (by far the Twin Cities' best T.J. Maxx for designer apparel and handbags). Just to the left of the entrance, in the "runway" department, you'll find a great selection of Alice + Olivia dresses – black with silver studs, gold sequins, and more. They're still not cheap, but within the realm of reason (especially if your calendar is full) at around $199. I also could easily have bought a couple of Alice + Olivia sweaters and some pieces from Theory.
And while you're there, check out the toy section for some great buys. I've paid as much as $16 for the Baby Buzzer I like to give as a newborn gift. T.J. Maxx had it for $6.99!

On "Shop Girls" Saturday, DailyCandy editor-at-large Dannielle Kyrillos revealed her favorite online resource for designer deals: Gilt Groupe, where luxury brands are sold for as much as 70 percent off retail. Just got word that Hot Mama will donate $25,000 of trendy merchandise to Hope Chest for Breast Cancer’s "A Night of Denim & Diamonds" gala on Oct. 5. Everything not sold at the event will go to the Hope Chest stores in St. Paul and Orono, where you can be sure it will be priced ridiculously cheap and you can rest assured your dollars are going to a good cause. Hope Chest profits benefit breast cancer victims in Minnesota.
