The girl next door did not disappoint! And why not dress a little like an Oscar when it's your night to win one? Sandra Bullock looked perfect. Love the red lip. Love the hair down – so shiny and sleek! The dress was gorgeous, and more importantly so was she.

Oscars fashion: Edgy, or eh?

Best actress nominee Carey Mulligan is the name that kept surfacing as I talked to fashion insiders this week about who to watch on the carpet. She's already emerging as a fashionista and has gained respect for interesting and daring fashion choices throughout the awards season. I'm just waiting for the critics on tomorrow's fashion wraps to educate us on how this is High Fashion. This is genius. This is PRADA. But that won't make me like it any better. Just not so crazy about the look. I wanted her to look softer. And didn't find the shorter length in front especially flattering – certainly not on those stairs.
