They’re currently recruiting stylists and plan to open by mid-February. Because the salon will be part of the spa, customers can turn a haircut into a mini-retreat, using Ivy’s fitness center, relaxation areas and whirlpool – heck, even the bathrooms feel like a vacation. I’m thinking this makes a lot of sense for Ivy, especially given its hotel setting. Stay tuned for more details. Extrados mergerWednesday, June 16th, 2010The only surprise about today’s announcement that Extrados plans to close its original brow waxing shop at 50th and Xerxes in South Minneapolis is that it didn’t happen three years ago, when the Extrados Salon and Spa opened nearby in Linden Hills. Owner Leah Simon-Clarke says the time has come to merge the two and reemerge as a destination for “total beauty,” including personal growth seminars and fitness classes.
